Many people with renal failure in Sudan die due to lack of accessible, affordable services. Expanding the country’s dialysis system capacity, improving the quality of services and studying the determinants of emerging renal problems are the goals of this project. The project will advocate for early detection and control of chronic diseases, like hypertension and diabetes, improving life style and addressing the socio-economic barriers in targeted communities. The life threatening nature of the disease creates interest of many players including the public and private sector, donors, media agencies and CBOs which is turn could lead to establishment of effective partnership to support the sustainability of the project.
