Since the aim of this project is to increase the reach for primary health services in rural communities in Khartoum state, the mobile clinic is aiming to cover about 100 remote villages distributed in 2 districts in Khartoum State, using two mobile teams rotating between them. The spectrum of services that have been provided through this clinic include preventive services like; immunization, growth monitoring and reproductive health as well as curative services including outpatient consultation, provision of essential drugs, laboratory investigations and minor procedures. The preventive package is being provided through house-to-house model, while the curative one is through a fixed service outlet central to each group of villages. To ensure sustainability of the project community participation and engagement of health insurance as buyer for the services provided are considered as important pillars.
